Remarks by the Head of Study Program

Praise be to Allah SWT for all His grace and guidance so that the Trisakti University Professional Dentist Education Study Program (PS Professional Education FKG Usakti) can be part of higher education that produces reliable and qualified dentists to provide the best service to the people and nation of Indonesia. Dentist graduates from PS Professional Education FKG Usakti are able to compete with dentist graduates from other Dentist Education Institutions, as evidenced by the achievement of the Dentist Professional Program Student Competency Test results, which are in the top 10 in 5 consecutive years.

The Faculty of Dentistry of Trisakti University is also ranked 6th as the best Faculty of Dentistry in Indonesia according to Scimago Insitutions Rankings in 2021. This also confirms the position of FKG Usakti as the best private FKG in Indonesia.

The curriculum of FKG Usakti Dental Professional Education is guided by the Indonesian Dentist Competency Standards (SKDGI) approved by the Dentistry Council (KKI) in 2015 which is a standard reference in the implementation of dental education in Indonesia in addition to the National Higher Education Standards issued by PERMENDIKBUD no 3 of 2020. The Dentist Professional Education Program has a competency level 7 in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) so that later a graduate of dental professional education can work as a care provider, decision maker, communicator, community leader, manager, researcher / lecturer, creator and innovator.

Teaching and education of dental professionals are carried out by 124 permanent lecturers who have specialization and expertise as well as extensive dental practice experience. The learning method in the Professional Education Study Program is carried out with case-based learning and academic tutorials in the form of chair side teaching, case base discussion, and journal reading.

Dental professional education at FKG Usakti is supported by very adequate facilities at the Education Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM-P) including 135 dental units spread across the integration clinic, 18 negative pressure room treatment rooms, radiology installations, pharmacy, major surgery rooms, and dental laboratories. To strengthen administration and data entry, it is supported by the Professional Student Academic Information System (SIAPP) and Hospital Information System (SIMRS). With these facilities, it raises optimism that the Dentist Professional Education Study Program of FKG Usakti can make the best contribution and be able to compete today and in the future.
Finally, the achievements that have been obtained are a challenge for all of us to always improve our quality and not to be complacent so that the target is always set to be able to keep flying as the best Private PTS. May Allah SWT always bless our steps together.
